painting the grill

hey,
i just had some damage from a little accident, going to have to get some paint work done on my 2k2 maj blue. I remembered a while back i saw someones max with a painted grill. I know the guy thats doing the work on my car and it wouldnt be a problem if i wanted the plastic grill painted to match the car. Just wondering if anyone had pics of this just to see how it would look. In addition, i was considering how durable this would be. Would the paint chip much quicker on the plastic? just some loose thoughts .

thanks in advance,
-g

Maybe go to a junkyard and get a grill and paint it. If you don't like it put your original back on. I don't know how much that would cost though.

I started a painted grill tread but compared to the number of people who has painted their grill out there and the number of people that actually replyed with painted grills... Still leaves me confused there was only 1 2002-03 Maxima owner with pics of their painted grill. The 2000-01 grill is defferent from mine I would like to see some more pics...

i'd have to say no. Like i think a painted grill matches too well, and has no contrast.

well Someone keyed my car this past weekend and I had to put my baby in the body shop for the week the Body shop wanted me to pay them $250 to paint the grill. They said they would have to remove the entire bumper to paint the grill. I told them don't bother. I guess they assume I'm an idiot. If my insurance company wasn't paying for the damages that would be a sign to me that this shop was a total ripp off.
