Question about Cat problem

Hey guys...
Recently my car has been getting TERRIBLE gas mileage and ran lean on a dyno and now it smells like rotten eggs eveytime i drive it. Could a bad cat-conv. cause a loss in gas mileage and performance? What else can it cause?

Are you getting any CEL at all? If so it may be an O2 sensor. You might want to check the O2 sensors, and the cat. The rotten egg would be from the cat. The car running lean on the dyno might be from an O2 sensor.

Sounds like you have a bad cat, you can either get a new OEM one(recommended) or a RT cat, others will tell you to get a testpipe. Its your call. Best of luck!
