Suspension Question

Ok, I have a 2003 GXE and ever since I have had this car, the steering and response is not what I would like it to be. After complaining to the dealer on countless occasions, he took me for a test drive in the 2003 SE and let me tell you, I notice that the handling immediately. It handled better ,took corner's better, etc. It was much stiffer ride than my model.

What they suggested was that I get new struts (shocks) and a sway bar. By doing just that will it really make a difference? I have got to do something because I feel like I am going to loose the car at certain times. I still cannot believe the difference between these two models. Did I try them both out when I was buying the car, nope. Dumb me.

It will make a big difference if you got those items that your dealership told you to get. It will make a big difference on pretty much any car. There is a group deal going on for shocks and struts I think.

FSTB, RSB, Springs, Shocks and Sturts will make your car completley different.

H&Rs and KYB GR2s are on the way and i cant wait to get them installed.

I have a 2000 SE. It always handled better than the GLE/GXE, but the handling realy improved after I added the RSB (Rear Sway Bar). The RSB just leveled the car very nicely - no more leaning in the corners or twisties.

BTW, I also have the FSTB (Front Stabilizer Bar). Unlike the RSB, the FSTB did not make that much difference. In fact, I am not sure I could really notice (I installed the FSTB first, than RSB).

I got both from Stillen, but there are other places you can get them from. Just check this forum (the search feature should be enabled now/soon).
