Nissan dealership puts in 42 PSI. It feel like I'm driving a ROCk (like sponge bob square pants does in one episode).

Tire Pressure

I run 36 psi fronts, 32 rear to offset the extra weight up front and provide more neutral turn-in. I highly recommend this for those who feel the Max grinds its fronts WAY too early!

Does anybody know what Nissan recommends? I looked on my console, and it only has the specs for 16s.

I run my 17s at 36psi all around...

I ran the 17s on my Intrepid at 40psi all around and the tires lasted a long, long time (50k+ miles).

I have worn the center of two sets of tires so I am backing off. I figure I drive a bit too hard and when the heat gets to them they over-pressure.

Thanks to DW for the info, boogity boogity boogity!

nissan recommends 29 all the way around for 16" tires. I run 33 fronts and 31 rears. It is dangerous running too high a PSI. Unless you have specific tires that are designed for that.

Don't think that high psi will save you on gas mileage if you run a lot of highway miles. A tire with 32 psi (from a cold start) will gain 4-5 psi over an hour long trek. If you run higher PSI, I would be worried about the possible hazards you can cause to yourself and other drivers.

Dont forget to check your spare tire pressure.

35 here. I read that 35 is good because it widens the treads a little to provide better wet traction. But I'm no automotive engineer.
