Foglights!!

Ok, so I purchased the angel eye fogs a couple months ago, and they suck, i'm gonna put the stockers back in, except with new bulbs this time. What I gather from my research is that the PIAA Xtreme Whites are the brightest and closest match to the HID's...but a few questions. First, are they the right wattage for the stockers? How much did those who have them pay for them? Is there a noticeable difference in light output? Thanks,

-Colin

Yeah, the PIAA xtreme whites are very close to the stock 2k2 HIDs. I believe there are 2 version of xtreme white bulbs, one with 55W=110W and the other one is 85W=110W. Make sure you get the 55W=110W version. However, my stock foglight housing is making my xtreme whites look yellowish.

I still have my auto on/off feature.. Mines are hardwired. So they work exactly like stock fogs would be. Who did the wiring/

pep boys did the wiring, they used the two setting switch included with the set...where did you have yours done, and how does it work with the angel eyes?

You should have had them wire it the same way mines is wired..

12v power was taped from the foglight harness to power the fogslight. The angel eyes were taped to the daytime running lights which a relay was also used and ran to the battery. The angel eyes only turn on when I have my daytime running lights on or the headlights. I can still turn off and on the fog light bulb itseld with the normal stock swithc.

Get the Extreme White Plus... It's 4300K and they are H3's.

Just like limsandy said. Don't know about actual light output - the answer should be yes, 'cuz PIAA advertises that their 55W Xtreme Whites put out the same light as a 110W regular fog light. But since they sucked, I didn't ever have my fog lights on when they were stock so don't have a comparison

Here's a link to mine with the Xtreme Whites (and Raybrig clearance) installed:

They're not quite as blue as the HIDs, but they're close.

ok, just one more question...custommaxima.com says the H3's wont's fit the 2k2/2k3 fogs, because of the wattage i assume. has anyone fried their harnass or burned out the bulbs
