Just got my Otto FSTB... need install opinions

Yeah so i'll add my strut post to the piles previous posts... anyways the UPS just dropped off my otto front strut bar. I notice that only the BAR came, nothing else, no spacers, extra nuts ect. Is it alright if I screw the bar in alone? Or will i need to get the fancy extras like what Stillen provides? Will it make any difference besides preserving the paint? Thanks.

How tight you making that thing? IIRC, torque should be 35lbs.

I also have the OTTO FSTB and the installation was a piece of cake. I didn't have a torque wrench available for the install, but I tightened down the bolts until I felt they were secure. Didn't notice any warping tho. No extra bolts or washers/spacers needed...and no interference from the bar with anything else under the hood. A pretty good looking bar, hunh?? I got mine from ProCarParts for ~$70 shipped.

According to the manual torque should be between 35 to 40lbs. You NEED to use a torque wrench, or risk hazard with your struts and strut towers.

At 35 pounds, the metal plates on my BOMZ FSTB warped - no problems have resulted.
