Oh, BTW, unlike some other Amsoil dealers on this site, I'm sales tax exempt so I don't charge people that.

NT2SHBBY...what's the part number for the Mobil 1 filter for our 2k3? And where do you get them? I went to Wal Mart and Pep Boys near me this weekend and they only had Fram available for our cars, Pep boys didn't even have the Purolator Pure One Microfilter in their computer as being made for the 2k3. I ended up going to a dealership and paying $7 for an OEM filter.

they are $12, pricey but worth it IMO for this premium 3.5 beast!

Sweet, thanks man. Where did you find them at? Are they made for the 3.5 VQ? I'm thinking the guy at Pep Boys that told me Purolator doesn't make a Pure One Microfilter for our 3.5 was talking out his ****.

Well, I just checked and it doesn't look like the Pure One PL-24458 is meant for our engine at all. Here is the list for that part number taken from Purolator's web site...

I agree with you, but it is at least 2 times larger , threads are 20mm.x 1.5mm. and a 8-10 psi bypass valve. BTW M1-110, 108, 106, 105, 104 fit also if you can't get PureOne.

PL14620 is the right part number for the 3.0, I'm trying to find one specifically made for the 3.5 engines found in the 2k2-2k3 Maximas. No luck so far. You can use either 5w-30 or 10w-30 in a 2000 Maxima, especially in the warmer months. Nissan recommends 5w-30 because it allows a wider range of temperatures, but I believe 10w-30 is fine all the way down to -15 degrees or something like that. Check your owners manual and it should have the ranges for both oils. I personally use 5w-30 all the time, but I've seen some other org members use 5w-30 in the winter months and 10w-30 the rest of the time.

Re: Changin Oil
I am using Havoline Syntehic 10-30.
The Amsoil guys posted their own test results to make the point that their stuff is much better than anyone else's.
Interestingly, Havoline seems better than all the other
leading syntethic brands (other than Amsoil)
I can get Havoline locally for $3 /quart

>what's the part number for the Mobil 1 filter for our 2k3
I had the guy look it up in his computer at the local
car parts place.
It is the same as the Altima 3.5L V6.
The STP part number is 6607 and the Bosch number is 3300.
You can easily cross reference this to the Mobil.
It looks like the STP 4967 and the Bosch 3311 would also
fit, except they are a bit taller ( 0.5" maybe)
Same diameter, same thread. I have a bunch of these laying
around for a Corolla and an Infinity G20.
