Yesterday, I met up with a friend that I didn't see in years. He had the same Max as mine which ran 46k miles. Dam!!!!...I thought I had alot. I bought my Max about 5 months ago and I already have 7500. He said he purchased it the 1st day it arrived at the dealer.
Does anyone have a higher mileage?

I qualify for the LEAST

My Max will be with me for 1 year in two weeks, and I have less than 5800 miles on it. And NO, it was not leased, I just don't need to drive it that much. But I love to drive it when I get the chance!

I drive 35,000 per year. I have a long commute and 3 kids that are VERY active. Got my Max on 12/12/00. Already have 3,800 miles on it.

I bought this car because I knew it would last for 200k+ miles and I would enjoy driving it the entire time!

Gone mine in June of '99

just hit 35k but I only have <1 mile commute to work. If there weren't any stop signs/lights I could roll down my hill to work

I win!!

This is not good but I bought my car in july 99 and I am almost to 45k. I guess trips driving from coast to coast will kill you on miles.

Kev, so that means your car didn't come with the 17" rims right?

Nope, It only has 6 slots so its 58x,xxx miles. Its not like those modern 7 slot ones which show you 1/10th a mile.

Slots:
6-100,000
5-10,000
4-1,000
3-100
2-10
1-1

These are the placements.

if that pic is correct...

if the pic is correct that you posted of the odometer, then it says 58,xxx and then the white number is tenths of miles, thats why it is a different color.

You don't count thte white # dude, its a tenth and its not a mile. That car shows to have 58,xxx miles not 500k+

I'm at 27K miles and I don't drive the car during the week. I work in NYC and take the train and the car sits at home in the driveway. I guess this says a lot about how much I drive on the weekends.

Almost 20k. Bought the Max January 14th, 2000. Unfortunately she's on lease, so I need to lower my yearly mileage... =)

Later,

Either your dad is pulling your leg or you don't know how to read an odometer...or both.

Also, my mothers old 91 Cavalier has 189445 on the odometer. Does that mean it has 18,944.5 miles? NO! because she bought it with 73K miles on it! Also, My mothers new used Camry has only 6 digits. All of them representing whole numbers. None of that 1/10 stuff.

WOW! What has been replaced in it so far to make it go 500k miles? I thought only diesel engines break the 300k barrier.

2 trannies, oil changed at 3,000miles. Alot of power window motors! Recalled rearhatch shocks. Sliding door handle. I'm sure alot of other stuff such as the alternator but I'm not sure. Its not my car, but I DO drive it to work.

Oh yeah, the shocks have only been replaced once. And that was only the front ones. And a couple of years ago, my dad had to replace the rear differential.

Actually i drive about 30 a day, but what killed me was i drove from my home near philly to green bay wisconsin and then i took another trip to FLA, plus numerous trips to NYC, so those really racked up the miles
