Sub solutions custom box for 5th gens!!

Those of you with Bose, this is for you, or even if you don't have Bose, you can set this up. This kit will come complete with a 2 driver box, brackets, plug and play harness to interface with the factory head unit, and will be available with, or without an Amp. Check out the pictures, PM me for more info on where to get one, and pricing. www.subsolutions.com

For the Bose guys:

Ports through the back deck, includes port, and plate

No one can tell you changed anything out

Non Bose

Wow! This is awesome! How many watts do you have pushing it? More importantly, how does it sound?

It will handle 325 watts, and they sound great. It won't rock your neighbors dishes off the shelf, but it sounds very rich. It compares to a 10" sub in the trunk.

I'm interest in pricing for the bose setup...how does this compare to the basslink and what does the install consist of?

The install will be straight forward. The kit will come with all the nesecary brackets, and misc parts. The advantage over this, is that you will not have to run any wires to it. We will supply you a plug and play harness to interface with the Bose harness. For more info, or pricing, please call my partner, David Hill-480-510-3420, he will answer all your questions, and take orders as well.

thank you I will do that....so you say no wires to run to it? I'm guessing it uses the factory wires off the factory sub??? is the factory amp still retained?

So I don't have to rip apart my interior running wires from the Pac adapter off the HU back to the trunk?

No, you don't have to rip out your interior, and you need to add an Amp, but we have a kit with an amp, or without. Either way, the amp will get it's signal and power from the Bose wiring. The Bose harness is hanging in the trunk, and all connections will be made there.

Is the sub box itself anchored to the trunk floor so it won't move around? This sounds great!

Wow. Very impressive. And a good idea, i'm sure with the simplicity of it you'll find a large amount of people interested in this. One question, for the non-bose you will have to run wires and whatnot, correct ?

I'm guessing we are looking at teh "The Low Bass Trunk Solution." It lists on their page for $400 and I'm guessing thats minus the amp. Also, isn't the factory power wire back to there a bit thin to be used in a system to push two subs at approx 100 watts a piece? I'm not trying to be a doubter here, but I would be afraid of fire if you go cranking into it. That factory wire was meant for the two little BOSE amps in the back which probably draw much less current than an amp driving two small subs.

if you are pulling off the bose sub harness, it will be post bose equalization. :/ if you are before the main amp, you'll be pre-equalization. I know the sub amp is *in* the bose sub, but its running thru the main amp for preamp equalization. seems like if this is really low bass, the equalization will pull alot of it out at higher volume, if thats that way youre running it.

I'm in Phoenix, but probably won't test. Sure you could find someone though. Not sure about this idea for the price and looks of it.
