New shift **** causes tranny failure----!!!

I have a 2k max 5spd and I bough a new shift **** for it. After trieng to remove the old one for 1 hour(i had to cut apart the whole **** to get it off)

I finally got the new one on. When i went for a drive I noticed a Terrible whine from each gear.

I was like damnn my tranny is F-uped. Then I decided to take the shift **** off and the noise disappeared. THANK G-D.

Aparently the 2k2 6speed shift **** I got has a screw holding the two peaces of the **** together. I tighten the **** too much and that caused the noise because the screw was vibrating on the shifter(WTF) So this time I didnt tighten the **** all the way and my maxima rocks again.
