The dealership tells me I should have the tranny in my 2k max serviced at 30k. There is no mention of this in the Care and Feeding section on this site. Should I go ahead and have it done or wait until later... I have 33.5k miles on it now.

Also, is it worth the extra cash for pads from the dealer?

Depending on your style of driving around 30k is a good time to change the transmission fluid.
If you're elgigible and haven't done the solenoid/tcm TSB - try to make the dealer do it - they will have to change tranny fluid while they're at it.

Huh ? If you're talking about the brake pads - then don't bother getting the OEM ones.... get Axxis MetalMasters, Porterfield, Raybestos, EBC etc they are all very decent and are improvement over stock at less of a price.

 

haven't done the solenoid/tcm TSB..........CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHAT THAT IS PLEASE... i would really appriciate it because i beat my auto like there is no tomorow....
