Y-Pipe and SES Light
Y-Pipe and SES Light
I have noticed that several people who have installed a Y-Pipe have had the SES light come on and off.
Is there an issue regarding an aftermaket Y-Pipe and the SES light and is there a potential engine damage issue?
Or, is it peculiar to a particular manufacturer (Cattmann, Stillen, WarpSpeed, or Budget?

I have noticed that my light comes on and off whenever I mess with certain things. I took the VB off and when I put it back on, SES light. Swapped out the exhaust and started the car, SES light. Tranny cooler and oil cooler, SES light. They always go off again after a day or two. As far as 'engine damage' from a y pipe...I guess theoretically anything can happen, but I seriously doubt it.
