Was going home last night from a bachelor party (sober,Ihop after the last drink), and spotted a Lexus IS zoom past me, looked pretty well stock. I caught up to him and made my intentions known. We both were driving about 75 at the time. He floored it and I turned the overdrive off and passed him then slowed down to let him catch up, he passed me again and again I passed him. His little car just couldn't muster the strength to pass me, poor guy. I shut it down at 125. I think those IS's look faster than they really are. Is was a pretty good ending to the night.

 

Hmmm, it should be pretty even since they are pretty light and have 225 hp stock. Maybe it's auto vs manual?

they are not that light. and its 215 stock.

 

Yep, IS300's really aren't much competition in a straight line.

Through the twisties though, it would definitely be another story.

 

I beat a IS300 in the 1/4 in my '01 GLE, he had a SRT intake and piggyback ECU.

They are not a worry stock but those turbo kits are bad @ss!

 

Both cars weigh almost the same... if anything the max is a few lbs. lighter... hohohoho

 

i have a recorded me and my freind race...i have a 2001 se and he has a 2002 IS300.... i just ripped him.... i wish i could upload the tape some how...i could let u guys download a lot of tape footage with my max vs. lancer evo,sentra se-r, acura-tl, 97 maxima, and more...i have an 8mm hitachi video camera... and a sone vaio computer... i have the software to edit videos...does anyone know of anything to load it into the computer...

 

no but id love to see the videos.

 

get a video capture card for you computer than you can dl it into your pc....if you have firewire on your 8mm you can also use that to dl it into your computer.....if your vaio is one of the recent ones..it should have a firewire built into it....most of the 8mm doesn't support firewire though...get a MiniDV...
