Is it bad to mix oil?

I need to use up some 10w-30. Is it ok to mix one or maybe two quarts of the 10w-30 with the rest 5w-30? (both same kinds of oil mobil 1 synthetic).

thanks

You may want to ask in this forum: http://theoildrop.server101.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php

You could use the 10w30 oil now that the warmer weather is coming in without any problems and save up the 5w30 for the colder weather.

I know that it's not recommended, but it can't be THAT bad.
