Transverse Link Replacement difference

I don't know if this happened to everyone else... I got my Transverse Link Replaced today and I felt a major difference to the cars ride. I have a 2002 SE by the way. The front suspension seemed to be less rough and more stable over bumps. Also the steering seems to be more stiff than before which i like a lot because i thought it was a little loose before. Has this happened to anyone else? And is it normal?
