H&R / Eibach and Tokico Please respond!!!
H&R / Eibach and Tokico Please respond!!!
I know this question has been addressed hundred times but I still can make up my mind from your answers. I have installed eibach on my 2k2 SE about 4 weeks ago on stock struts and despite the excellent handling that I have experienced I still think that my ride is rough specially over bumps so I went ahead and ordered a replacement "H&R" and new struts "Tokico".
I keep hearing all of your comments about how good is eibach/tokico combination but I never seen any thread about H&R/Tokico.So, my question is if I kept the eibach and replaced only the struts would my ride comfort improve or should I go ahead and change both of them?I need a level of comfort like stock but better handeling.
Current Mods: Injen Intake, CN FSTB, Eibach Pro-kit
Wheels/tires: OEM
You all have been very generous with your comments. Thanks again.

this will help oyu with the tokico question
as far as the springs. H&Rs are softer and give you less drop then the Eibachs.
If you add the tokicos to the Eibachs, you'll feel a better ride but not like the H&Rs...the H&R gives you a nice comfortable ride and nice handling

I've had H&Rs and Toks for over a year. You'll feel the bumps with the H&Rs but over time you won't notice them as much. They are noticable but no bone-jaring. I can not speak for Eibachs.
I put the H&R's with the Toks on this weekend and then drove home 4 hours from Jacksonville to Ft. Lauderdale. I could hardly tell the difference in ride quality between stock and this setup. I almost forgot I put them on until a couple of on ramps
I love my setup with the toks and H&R's. I wanted better handling with good ride quality and that's what I got. I realise that the Eibachs may handle a bit better, but I didn't want the harsh ride. Whenever I ride in my friends 325i, my kidneys bleed.
I dont understand why people think eibach are a harsh ride. I have h&r currently on my 02 and SR20DEN has eibach and his ride is not noticably different to me. I need tighter and lower ride now so Im switching my suspension

I just wanted to thank everyone for their effort in responding to my post. I went ahead and replaced the eibachs with H&R and added the blues, may add an RSB to the MIX. what can I tell you? It rides just like my old 91 535 BMW. Though I have nothing bad to say about the eibachs, but I no longer need to keep my sunroof open to avoid being knocked down.
Again, I really appreciate your comments.

I've got a similar question, but regarding Tokicos vs KYBs and H&Rs vs. Eibachs. I've got a 2003 SE Auto with Courtesy FSTB and Stillen RSB and I'm looking for a lowered look and better handling, but don't want to lose too much of the stock comfort level. Reliability is also a factor, as I have heard that Toks have the tendency to blow out. Any suggestions about optimal spring/shock setup would be greatly appreciated!
I have the H&R W/the Tokico shocks. The ride is great! Not too firm nor soft. The car feels connected to the road...very communitive. The handling is also enhanced. With all the suspension mods that I had done to my car so far, I don't know what else to do next? Any suggestions?
