headlight bulb question

on friday my friend gave me his H4 xenon headlights so i decided to put em in and they looked soo awesome. They were working fine the whole weekend until today. A few hours ago i went out to my car and turned it on and only my right headlight went on. The bulbs are 12V100/90W. Did i **** up my harnesses or did the bulb just burn out?

I'm guessing that the bulb just burned out.

trying hitting the headlight house from the outside a few times...that sometimes should make it turn back on.

the temprature changes can affect that

Eh, I don't think the harness would have burned out so quickly... how about you try putting one of your old bulbs back in? I've been running 100/80 on the stock harness for like a year now and its been fine. I really should get around to upgrading it though.

sometimes i ask myself why not just get a 100% HID, no crappy bulbs and wattage. i wouldnt risk putting a higher wattage bulb..that will just burn your wires slowly.

Honestly, your visibility in the rain will be gone with those... blue coated bulbs look good, but they really do suck.

There could only be three options: 1. the bulb was touched and expolded prematurely 2: The bulbs were defective and just suck (like all halogen) 3. worst case-your harness is fried because of higher wattage bulbs. In that case the only way is to repair your harness if possible, so I would check your harness to see if it is damaged. Why not upgrade to HID? I contempatled getting 02 Hid lights for my 01 but instead got a Dual beam H4 4500k kit from Catz Hid that kicks @$$ . 02 Hids get stolen alot and the Catz kit is less that half the cost. Check my homepage for info.

Actually I do have High beams, the kit I have is a Dual beam kit. The high beam works flawlessly; the kit wasn't hard to install, of course if you are mechanically inclined. The bulb moves forward to create a high beam, a soleniod clicks it back and forth when you turn the high beam on. Check out liteswap.com for info.
