I got it on my 2000 SE, and it went away in about

two days.
I was taking the car to the dealer but before I got there, the light went away.

Kev, when U installed the CAI. there is a Sensor in the throttle body Assembly... make sure U pluged that thing back up when U finished with the CAI. Also do U still have your Scoop up front where the Factory Air box sucked air in from or U took that out too? I took all my factory Air Plumbing out and there was a Sensor in the front Scoop.. Well I tie Wraped that thing to a cable going to the battery insted of haveing it just hang in the wind.. I think your sensor is just confused b/c its getting blown away with all this Air. lets hope its Wig doesn't come off from the wind. but check the sensors man.

Thanks! Checked all the sensors and nothing seems to be loose or misplaced. I didn't remove the scoop, so that sensor is out of the equation. Any other ideas?

is it too hot in your area? were U rough on the car this morning when the light came on? when I had my 4th Gen. one day I was just upset and I was taking it out on the car and the check engine light came on.. Found out I busted the O2 Sensor... had to get a new one from a dealer. don't know man.. it might be too hot and just effected the sensor to wack out..

Well, this morning was a bit humid, but not hot. No abusing this morning... I was driving under the speed limit and it came on all of a sudden. Weird... thanks for trying!

Just to add my 2 cents.. been driving the car way too hard.. I've gotta let up on it.. and I removed all of the stock plumbing from in there.. and no lights yet.

Kev, I'd check the two smaller vacuumo hoses that connect on the end of the T bar coming off of the larger pipe connected to the throttle body and MAF sensor.. Just a thought.

Just got back from another long drive...

this time I put a little over 2500 miles on the car. Oddly enough I pulled into an Amoco station on my trip back (had been using anyone's gas-never had a problem with it in any other car), and the pump i pulled up to had only premium gas-Ive used mid grade. After 3/4 of a tank, my Check Engine Soon light went off-its been on for a week or so. Maybe better gas is the key. So far with one more fill up, I have not had the light come back on again, but I did begin experiencing shimmying in the wheel under braking-Im thinking rotor warpage. All in all, I cant complain with the car. Ive put just over 5K miles on it in less than 2 weeks from trips to St. Louis and Boston, and one to Atlanta. Time to have the dealer look at the brakes though.

Thanks! I checked that earlier today and tightened all the loose part (what I thought could've been tightened more). I noticed the other side of the medium sized hose was a bit loose. We'll see what happens.

That's exactly what happened. I had 3/4 of a tank left and the light suddenly lit up. Filled the car up in the afternoon... let's see what happens. Thanks!

Savas take your car to the dealer and have the rotors turned. mine were warped at about 10K or so and I waited til 13K to take it to the dealer and they told me it was out of warranty at that time. so take it in B4 12K miles.. they gave me 12 months 12K miles after they turned them and put new pads on but I have a feeling once they are turned they are never the same again. so I got my fingers crossed they'll go warp again B4 its time.. that center bolt on the front hub is a pain to take off. had to change disks on my 4th gen.. broke a socket wrench trying to get thing to open. Good Luck man
