I just installed mine 2 weeks ago. I'm actually a little disappointed its not a little louder. Below 4000 RPM, you will not know its there. When you put it to the floor, it really has a nice growl. A deep low growl, not ricey. There's also a squeak or whistle at low RPM, but not while cruising. Personally I don't like the squeak but others have said they like the sound.

Is there any way to eliminate that squeak? Anyone?

It's not as loud as a JWT/Stillen or Frankencar/PR Cai.. You'll only hear it if you floor it..

hmmm i wont be adding an aftermarket muffler...i just dont thinkg $500+ is worth it for like 2hp gain especially if you wotn put in a y-pipe b-pipe and everythign else that goes with it...all i want is the injen and is it worth the 200+?

Getting a full cat-back with exhaust is not a 2HP gain..

I wounldn't waste $200 on the injen. Just get a frankencar. Performance is almst the same. Or save some $ and get blown

I read that a squeak like that could be caused by a dirty throttle body because of the oil on the injen filter, pop off your intake and wipe down the throttle body to see if it stops the noise

you can get it much cheaper than $220... keep looking around here and you'll find a used one for less than $150 eventually. And used it just as good as new unless you want to show your car

500 dollar muffler?... you really have no clue on prices huh. A good magnaflow will cost around 120$ shipped 14829 for example http://shop.ivalueinternet.com/bigex...uct_id/518.htm . For $500 you could pretty much do the whole exhaust, which would yeild around +15fwhp or even a bit more.

The injen is nice and quiet until you want it loud. You will want to hear it all the time though.

You can hear it hiss when you tap the gas in neutral, and changing gears it'll do the same.

I love to roll down the windows and listen to the Injen. While changing gears, it almost sounds like a blow off values (almost).
