Does anyone know what is the deal with the new body kit Custom Maxima is supposed to be coming out with? I tried calling them numerous times, but no one answers.

I wouldn't doubt that the kit will probably come out like 4th quarter 03 or if not later... They still have not even come out the turbos (mass produced I mean) yet..

What a tough crowd!

Too bad to Custom Maxima, that many customers do not have the same image they use to have about them.

Why is it so F**king hard to make a front spoiler? If you have the tools and materials it should be easy. And besides there is a huge demand. It would only be smart to make the spoiler and get it on the market.

Well to us (non-business) individuals it may be easier said than done. I was working in the past with a company to make an Anniversary Kit for our car (02-03), however I did not get the support from the .ORG members to even get the project off the ground.
There is alot more to it than we may be aware of:
1. Demand (people that will actually buy not the ones that say yes and back out last minute)
2. Cost Analysis
4. Making Bulk Quantities
5. etc

Basically it would be great if Custom Maxima would keep us updated in a timely fashion.

I think Greg just took on too many projects at once. Body kit, guages, turbo kit (for multiple gens, too, wasn't it??). He should have done one at a time and pound them out.

i already finished prototyping the kit last week. We did the final fitment. It takes a long time to make a kit from scratch. The need to sand and fit until everything is perfect.

But custom maxima has really great customer support and relations. People love to complain and thats what ****es me off. how many other companies out there cater to the maxima group? Hmm... I think the only other company is stillen, and seems like stillen has been focusing on other cars recently. #1 rule about business is to not burn bridges. Complain all you want, but one day, we may loose custom maxima as well...

TEDDIBEAR, I agree with you many people do like to complain, however some of them do expect prompt responses when they inquire about products or orders. I as well as many others understand that CUSTOM MAXIMA is doing a great deal for us but what makes a business? CUSTOMERS.
Don't get upset by others complaints, I personally have ordered products from Custommaxima and had great service in the past, I did however recently try inquiring about the body kit (Hence the post) and I could not get through.

Thanks Jon for emailing me about this thread so I can keep everyone updated. The past few months I have not had much time to get on the forums to keep everyone updated. All our new projects are almost complete and are right on schedule. Realize how much time and money goes into creating a new part. It is not as simple as making a bumper and selling it. The turbo along was well over $20,000 in research and design to produce such a high quality product. I have learned from my mistakes and will keep our upcoming new products secret until they are complete. That way, those that are impatient don't post negative feedback as means of personal satisifaction.
Our 4th gen turbo will be complete next week. We are installing it on half a dozen maximas and giving it a few weeks to make sure there are no bugs before we release it. If we made the mistake of releasing it with any bugs you guys would have flamed us for ever!!! So we are taking the necessary precautions. In 2 weeks we will be donating a complete kit to Turbo magazine whom will do an editorial on our kit in addition to Super Street magazine who will do a issue on our turbo vs the Stillen Supercharger the end of this year.
The 4th gen body kit is complete and being installed next thursday on a white maxima. A photoshoot will be the following monday for a press release in Super Street magazine.
Our 5th gen kit is also complete and currently installed on a 2001. That maxima is being painted red along with our new F1 fenders, red carbon fiber hoods and 5th gen dual exhaust. In 3 weeks it is scheduled for a photoshoot also.
Urethane skyline body kits now available: http://www.custommaxima.com/SkylineBodyKit.php
CustomMaxima.com is the exclusive distributor of this kit. There is a couple other companies selling this kit too....they buy it from us.
4th gen strut bars finally available. Our darn manufacturer in taiwan finally got us our shipment of 1000 strut bars that we ordered AND paid for over a year ago.

Trust me we been working hard getting new parts for all you. Thanks for your support, we have many new products for all you to be released this summer and appreciate your positive feedback.
This month we got over 12,000 phone calls, we appreciate your loyalty to CustomMaxima.com. Last week we hired yet another sales rep because the call volume was so high. Next week I will post pictures of our new 16,000 square foot facility that we built. Feel free to come visit us if you are near Danbury, CT, our project maxima is in the showroom too. It will be done by the middle of this summer. Come see it if you are among those that think it does not exist just because we did not post any pics yet.
Thanks,
Greg

I have had some problems with customaxima, but no body is perfect. The problems were resolved in a timley matter, thats all u can ask for. I think everybody has to relize that Greg and customaxima is not a HUGE company like stillen. You have to give Greg credit (alot) look at all the products he has come out with for Maximas! If there was not customaxima we would not have half of the things we have avalible for our max's. Yea greg may have done some things wrong but so would have all of us if we were in his shoes. Greg's trying, and that all u can ask for. Greg keep up the good work, and thankyou very much for all of the products!!!!!!!!!! I need my 3 pod, I'll be calling soon.

You have to give the guy credit, he steps up to the plate and answers himself. He si corect, as far as not selling something till it's right.A lot of you dorks that bash, should wait and see first. Like Greg said, it's not easy. I dont see any of you cranking anything !........

Thanks guys, we will continue to design new products for you, and have a few upcoming goodies that you thought only hondas could have. Everyone including myself makes mistakes, but whats counts is how you fix the problem and make the customer happy so they remain your customer. I am a honest guy and will ALWAYS go out of my way to help others especially taking care of our customers. If you ever have any problems with an order you placed with us please give us a chance to make it better before flaming us.
Thanks,
Greg

Greg,
I hope you understand that my post was not meant to draw any negative feedback about you or your company. As a matter of fact I also stated that there is alot more to creating a product. I will be going to be cousins body shop in MA soon and I actually wanted to ask if I can pass by your place and possible pick up a body kit for my 2k3 Max.

By the way the goodies that you are working on that we thought only honda could have, I hope it's those really nice stickers like the Honda's. I know that they are known to add a couple extra HP.

Can we get voo-tec?

The new body kit, what type of exhaust is the rear going to fit. I just found out today that I am going to be able to get something at the end of the summer. Thanks.

Regarding the 5th gen kit...I was reading an earlier thread and it sounded like 2 front lips are being made. Is this true? If not, which one is? Thanks.

Custom Maxima is a nice company to deal wit but you will always have people that hate them and luv them.

Second when do you think you will have pictures and prices available for this new body kit for 5th gen.
Is it a complete bumper replacement for front and back?
I am really interested because I had an appointment to put the sarona kit and fenders on next monday but if this kit is coming out soon and you can give me an approx date and price I will wait and see if I like it perhaps the sarona kit will be sold and this one will be bought. Let me know. tee hee Dual greddy exhaust sound nice
