I just wanted to get some feedback on what is currently being said about superchargers for our vehicles. The last thread I saw seemed to imply NISMO may be contracting with a South African company to provide a SC. Any news on this or other systems?

for some reason...I am only putting out +2 lb/ft of torque than a modified 2k2 6spd....but, whp-wise....


seems like the cheapest way to get a fast maxima is get a 2k gxe 5spd or a 4th gen 5spd and then either juice it or boost it.

 

30 more days.


j/k I hate those canned responses. Actually a couple of companies have thme in the works, but there is no date of availability yet.

 

Let's not forget 2k-2k1 maxima se's are the better 5th gens, as they don't suffer from the added weight of :

Chrome badges
6-speed HLSD
VQ35 (what a brick!)
Cleared tails
HID's (15hp power loss)
Revised front-end

...and other misc. changes all-around.


Sorry guys, us 2000's are the best, and the 2001's are dang good too! 2k2/2k3 just doesn't cut it, that's why there will never be a s/c or turbo kit for them.

For anyone wondering that is a 2000 SC auto max I was racing, steve from frankencar did the videoing.

First run was 0-100 MPH
2nd run 20-120
3rd 0-100

 

The piece of equipment that filmed the race is really a glorified digital camera, so no sound feature

at this moment, he has done a lot of work to his maxima to have more horse power to the wheel than what you can spit out of your engine. fastest bone stock max....how lame. And does that mean when a new maxima comes out, it will replace your maxima and become the fastest?

I say it is because the lack of resource. maxima turbo kits are developed by .org members and optimized by .org members. you should visit the TC/SC forum to read about people's ideas on TC'ed a VQ35. we had enough talk on spring drops and best looking rims in this 5th gen forum.

Sr20den has proven that 12's are easily obtainable with a nitrous kit. You guys add SC's and all kinds of mods, and are still in 14's. Some do get into 13's. We have 3.5's with minor bolt ons in 13's

Honestly, how many 2k2/2k3's run mid-high 13's on street tires, with only a CAI and exhaust right now? I know we have emax running great times, but he's just crazy and I think he's just scaring his car to make it go faster

In anycase, does it really matter who's fastest? There will always be a 2000 SE running a 13.5 for a 2002 SE that runs a 13.5, and I'm sure that someday both versions of the 5th gen will find a 10.5 as well... I'm sorry if you guys took me seriously, but cripes we're all in the same club and thus in the same boat together. How gullible can one get?!
