muffler swap

I was considering swapping out my muffler for a free flowing unit when I found out that the factory unit has a variable capacity muffler. Now I'm wondering if it's a good idea because it may affect the my low end torque. Anyone swap out their mufflers and have any bad affects?

Did the swap and notice no bad affect at all. Car still runs like a scolded ape.

It's not going to give you much power (like nearly nothing) since the stock one is very good, unless you just want it for the sound.
