Can KYB AGX's be used on are cars?

I have a friend that works at KYB and if those work he said to buy them because their ajustable. He said he can get em for me for like 100 bones for four struts.

If so are these struts preferred?

Man a lot of suspension threads going on around here?!!?

Only the "CATTMAN modified 4th Gen (95-99) KYB AGX Struts" will fit your 5th Gen (00-03). You'll either need to shave a little bit on your stock front upper stuts mounts or you can use 4th Gen (95-99) front upper strut mounts. Also,if your going to lower your ride. Your going to have to use 4th Gen (95-99) aftermarket lowering springs.

i have agx's on my max, as do MANY others. the modding is all that difficult. you need to use 4th gen upper strut mounts, so that's just simple replacement. also, the the lower strut mount hole has to be expanded a bit.
for springs, it should bolt on, but if you use GC Coilovers, you have to shavea bit more.
look at it this way, normal agx modding/installation is $200. on average, agx's cost about $340 (non modified). so that's alone already $540 on just getting the job done. you're gettin them for 100, let's say you get the 200 install/mod. that's 300. you saved 240.

i say, GO FOR IT. you will love the adjustability. sometimes it's too rough and you wanna soften the ride, so do it. sometimes you want it stiff. with gr2's, what you get is waht you get, simply.

do it man, you won't regret. it' snot something to be scared about. it's been done many times to other 5th genners.

depends on where you live...i live in NY. in here, i don't see how anyone can have 2front/4rear w/out getting a headache. i might go down to 1/3....up on the drive to boston, i put it 3/6 and it was stiff as hell. took turns nicely.

read that and then decide whether that pertains to you. roads, bumpy ones, can really give you a headache.

5th gen KYB AGX

I thought that there was plans to bring an actual 5th gen version of the AGX to the market...What happened to these plans? I found a really good deal on 5th gen H&R Springs, but obviously, that's not going to fit very well if I want the AGX's......What happened?
