No, not in this case. The name of the car is "maxima" so the plural is "maximas." If it was being used in the context of "most" then maxima would be the plural, but since maxima is a proper noun ("created" by nissan) you add an 's' to make the plural.

I think you're right, plural for the automobile Maxima is Maximas . But the point I was making was that the use of apostrophe s or s apostrophe is for possessive cases (singular or plural) only.

I guess I really started something here.

My other car/project car is a 95 Talon TSi (same as Eclipse GST turbo FWD).
I bought it new, put 120 k on it in 7.5 years, then bought my "daddy" car, my '03 maxima 6 speed / LSD. I still drive my Talon a tad bit more during the week. I only drive the Max on the days I have to pick my daughter up from day-care. I started modding the Talon after I got the Max since if I screw up a mod, I can always drive the max
It's amazing what you can do with a turbo charged car.
Someone in this thread mentioned the crank-walk issue with the mitsu 4g63 (7 bolts)... Personally, I think that whole thing is so blown out of proportion. A lot of young guys own these cars, and I'm amazed at how some of them complain about parts breaking, when they launch their AWD car by bouncing the motor off the rev limiter and side stepping the clutch (usually with a higher force clutch installed since 2 or 3 of those will roast a stock clutch). 20 of those launches and they wonder why the motor blows up or the thrust bearing fails
Seeing an AWD launch like that is amazing, but it has to kill parts.
The whole "crank walk" thing has gotten so bad, I'm amazed by some of the posts on dsmtalk.com. Every little thing that goes wrong, guys think "crank-walk" right-away. I can remeber a thread where it was obvious the guy was describing a blown clutch master cylinder, and he was convinced he had crank walk. lotta that going around.
Final note, I am thinking about getting a '98 or so Supra TT, and started reading their forum, they actually have a sticky up for "crank walk" issues, this on that indestructable toyota i6. makes ya wonder...
I drove my Talon hard for the last 130k (not abusive, but I have fun), and it runs like-new. even better now with some mods!

(hikes up his belt like cliffie) I'll take "zip codes" for $1000, Alex!
That was one of the cars i originally wanted, except the older model since the 6bolt didn't have nearly as many issues with crankwalk (yes there were a few)... Boost controller, downpipe, hacked air can and boom excellent race for Maxima from a roll
Gotta watch those cars, they definately can move. My buddy has a '91 TSi and is running 12.88's. It's definately a low-12 high-11 sec car right now and probably lower once tuned. Unfortunately, he does not know how to drive it. Not too shabby with a 2.0 motor running stock internals, stock head, A/C, etc...

I admit that correcting grammar is a flaw in my character. I have this uncontrollable compulsion to point out ignorance whenever I see it. The roll eyes was for my thinking that no one would bother to respond.
