Will a GAB cause MAF failure??
The MAF failures are not directly related to the intake. It's just how fast/slow the MAF fails. If you use an aftermarket intake with a defective MAF, it will fail faster than the stock one.
And to go one step further, the MAF itself (except for the 22680-6N200) is not a defective part. The ECU is what causes the MAF to fail by sending too much voltage through the element, which causes it to burn up and fail.

i have a 2k3... so if i find the tsb, can i still go get it replaced, as to prevent any problems down the road? even tho i have had no problems yet?
after doing this.. should i not have a problem then with MAF failures even if i decide to get an intake/GAB??

It has been my experience w/ Nissan... If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Everytime I take my car in for a TSB fix, it comes out worse than when I took it in. Just ride it till it breaks, then you will "know" that you had the problem.
Studman,

I have a MAF sensor #22680-6N200. Does that mean I have a defective part? Where can I go to read more about this? I have been reading the TSBs but can't find anything that mentions the MAF's.

I'm planning on a long road trip next week. But after visiting this forum for awhile now I have noticed a lot of people posting about their blown MAF sensors. Should I just buy an extra MAF sensor in case of an emergency? I drive a 2k2 maxima with a franken car midpipe and a stillen hi flo. My MAF sensor part number is #22680-6N200. If anybody knows anything please reply to this post. =) Thanks.
stoneant: Yes, you have a defective part. Look at my homepage (at the bottom) for the link to the TSBs that I've stored. Get the one for hesistation/lack of power and visit your dealer for a fix.
Also in the 5th gen FAQ is a link to the threads about the defective MAFs (if it's not there, let me know and I'll put it there).

No, but if you try to order that part from the parts counter, you'll find that is has been discontinued. Just argue about the lack of power and hesistation when you visit the dealer.... and take the TSB with you to show them your point. If they won't fix it, find another dealer.
