HELP- lights went out

Okay here's the deal. I was working on my 2000 Max and while changing one of my bumper lights (side markers), all the lights went out. My headlights, fogs, and corners work, but that's it. My bumper lights all around (front and rear) aren't working. The bulbs are brand new so it can't be the bulbs. I think it's the fuse but which fuse controls the side bumper lights. Does this fuse also control the dash lights and interior lights b/c they are not working either. Where can I find the fuses that control both of these and which fuses are they. I had Glo Gauges installed and now they won't light up. Also, the interior lights themselves aren't working. Please help I don't know what to do!

Check for blown fuses in your fuse box. Its on teh lower left of the driver side. You'll see a small box with a lever to pull open. Just look for the corresponding fuse and check it. That's weird why they all would blow. Maybe you have a ground thats loose.

I'd check fuse #60 10A in "fusible link and fuse box" - its under the hood on the driver side. It controls "side markers" - that's "bumper lights" you were after, I think. It also controls a lot of other things and dash lights are among them. Actually, "tail light relay" to be precise controls all that but simple things first - check the fuse.

Re: Re: HELP- lights went out

I don't know which fuse is #60. But I checked all of the fuses, and none of them are open. I checked the fuse box under the hood on the driver side, and once again all of the fuses looked alright. When a fuse is no good, it pops open right? None of the fuses were open. Does the relay box have anything to do with this. I need my lights back on ASAP. I also noticed tonight that my blinkers work, but my corner lights don't. My side markers still don't work as well as my interior lights, dash lights,etc.). My bulbs flash with the hazards and indicators, but do not come on as parking lights. Maybe that would help get to what the problem is. Then again maybe it makes it more complicated. Somebody please help, I NEED MY LIGHTS ON!

Go under the hood and if you are looking directly at the car on the right side there is a fuse box...PUll the "Taillights" fuse..(i believe its a 10)..replace it even if it is not popped(*broke-blown etc.) i had the SAME EXACT problem as you do and i figured out it was that fuse even though in my case it didnt pop...Throw in one of the spare 10 fuses and you should be set to go...Good LUck

Hey thanks alot man, it worked. Jus one more thing though, where are the 10 spare fuses? I switched two of the "10A" fuses in the fuse box and it worked. But where are the spare fuses so I can get rid of the blown fuse?

Sit in your driver seat and reach on the left side of your stearing wheel under the dash...Pull the cover off the fuse box...There is a little "map" of whats what on the back..It will say "Spare or extra fuses"...They are usually all the way to the right side...Just remember get some more if you use them...They can be picked up at your local car store...Good luck
