Keeping my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT coupe was my other option.
The decision was not hard.

G37 XS Coupe If they make it I know they make it in the sedan but not sure bout the coupe.
Subaru WRX
Lexus IS 350 AWD

I'd love a RWD car but the winters here suck plus I got kids so RWD is just too risky for me.

'93 Lexus SC300 (Too hard to find a 5spd, horrible fuel mileage)
'91 Acura Legend (Hard to find a manual, way old)
'99 Civic Si/Integra GSR (Hard to find for decent price, increased insurance)

My mom wanted me to get a later model BMW:
328i: less horsepower, E46s have had subframe issues.
525i: 3 series engine in 5 series body = eff that.
330Ci: couldn't find one in good condition and a 5spd and within the Maxima's price range.

Ummm there were a few other ones I had looked at but Maxima > all of them

Even the '03/04 V6 Accords were $3000-4000 more than '02/03 Maximas (most were at least $15k with decent mileage), I imagine an '06 was at least $17-18k.
