Hello, this is my first time posting so go easy on me..
I am concidering purchasing a 2k2 GLE with every option under the sun except the Navigation system. It only has 11k miles on it and is in perfect condition.
I have two questions for you all.. do you think that $23k is too much for this vehicle???
and I do not like the rims that come on this car, I really like the SE rims much better,, does anyone know how much it would cost to switch the rims??

yes, 23 is far too much... 03 gle's were selling for 24k brand new!
19-20$ would be the highest i'd go.

rims- just stay with the gle stocks. your car will look funny if you put the SE stocks on. the gle's stocks look sweet too.

 

if not, someone on here will be willing to trade SE rims with you. scour the for sale forum.

 

yes I prefer the GLE wheels over the SE wheels I would buy yours if you are selling them.

 

I paid 24000 for my 2k2 GLE brand new, so definatly dont pay 23 for a used one. i like the GLE wheels better myself, but i'm sure someone would trade you. good luck with your purchase

 

I just got a new 03 SE with a sunroof and 45 miles over the internet for 23K, not all the bells and whistles but no 11K miles. I would ask why they have an 02 with 11k on the lot... loaner, demo, exec car, salesperson play car, lease ??? With the 04's out the dealers are looking to get rid of the o3's. Work them hard on the deal. Good luck.

 

I dunno about the price honestly
I asked many dealers and sent out a few internet requests to buy a new 03 maxima and have come up empty. Anyone know how to get one? I'm ready willing and able !

I left a dealer last nite, had an 02 SE with 8k miles with just teh sunroof. he went down to 19, but told me flat out no lower he can sell it for 19. car was in perfect shape

I passed on an 03 with 22K Se with roof they went as low as 18, but it had scratches on bumpers and hood, they said they would fix and repaint bumper, but....... I'm very ****

may or may not be looking I saw on another dealers lot. LOADED SE 22k miles leather, bose, roof not sure what price yet. I'm scared what they're going to ask. Anyone have any ideas?

 

I paid $18.9k out of the door for a 02 SE with 24k miles on it a week ago. And that was with a weeks worth of negotiating, and going back and forth between other dealers (who would not let any Maxima 2k2 or newer out the door for less then $20k). It also kind of depends on wear you live. On the east coast or where there is a lot of snow and moisture, rust becomes a problem and cars sell for quite a bit less. I am in AZ and the weather is pretty much perfect and we have no moisture at all so cars tend to last a long time and hold there value. If they are trying to sell it to you for $23k I am sure you could drop them to at least $21k out the door. It depends on how bad they need to sell the car. Just my $.02...

 

Sounds like one that I was looking at a North Jersey Nissan dealer. Is it Supr Black? The one I was looking at had like 10,000 miles on it a month ago and was the sales managers demo car. I wanted that one real bad but I held out and found one w/ 8,800 in grey lustre(better color IMO). I ended up paying $19K+tax. Mine is a GLE also and has everything except navi too. I love the GLE rims and IMO pretty much any other 5 star rims out there look way better than the stock se rims.(Sorry to those who like them) If it is a Demo then tell them to take alot off, b/c they can make it a tax write off. (The dealer admitted that to me) Hey good luck!! No matter what you pay you will be extatic!!!

 

make sure its not a former rental.
Do a carfax on it!!!

 

Remember the '03 has better financing if you are going that route. In other words, I would get a brand new Max for 25k over a used one for 23k anyday.

 

Ditto, but not everyone qualifies for those great financing rates!
