Some spirited driving last nite....

i dunno...i guess i was just in the mood. havent pushed the car past the 3-4k rpm range in a good couple weeks, so last nite i decided to let it breathe. with my gc's ready and waiting, i raised the agx's to 3 front/6 rear (currently 2/4) and from about hicksville to astoria on the LIE, GCP, and then BQE, i let it fly. didn't really go that fast...prolly topped out at like 100, but what i was really doing was testing out these agx's and the gc's. is all i can say. talk about center of gravity when it's slammed is like i'm in a gokart. i was snappin turns all over and the car would not lift/tilt/sway. NOTHING. for like 5 seconds, a durango cut me off (on purpose i might add) and dropping it into 3rd gear soon left him realizing that climbing over me was a better idea cause faster he was not.

man, these GC's and the AGX's are the best thing i did to this car. looks nice, drives nice, and handles like a dream.

ok, just had to say that. i'm gonna go have lunch now.

heh polo, you remind of the times my boy and I would light up his vr4 on newbridge road. That's the most insane driving i've ever experienced.

SMX, what wheels are those on your car? Size? I have been thinking about a wheel like that for mine.

stinger 0/4 awg ground terminal on the right and stinger 0/4 DIGITAL power terminal on the left.
FYI: MANY of the digital terminals have been reported with flaws (mine is messed up) so stinger is still fixing some bugs and should be releasinga new batch soon. i have to get a new one eventually.

When ever I can come up with the money, I plan on buying that exact style. Do you feel that they are decent quality rims?

As soon as my battery fails ONCE, I'm getting that same setup.

That looks HOT!

Re: Wow!

MORE FYI's:

1)i know a place where you can get the optima dual post yellow top for $128 shipped. don't think you can beat that. if you can, all the better for you. anyone interested, let me know. i'll gladly forward his email.

2) the side terminals are NOT, repeat, NOT GM side terminal posts. yes, side terminals are normally used for GM vehicles, so about 90% are labeled as GM terminal posts, which everyone assumes to be side, but the GM posts are hexagon shaped, and you cannot fit the stock power ring on it. what you do is go to interstatebatteries.com (they own optima) and locate the nearest dealer that sells batteries and accessories. ask them for regular round charging posts. you screw those onto the side and the stock power should fit perfectly (have to bend it slightly, not hard at all. 2 wrenches and about 15-30 degree bend should fit it.

glad you like it...people see the tv and like it, people hear the system and like it, but when they see the battery setup, that seems to be where they all go oooh and aaah.

That is just CLEAN looking. I bought silver color terminators to clean mine up some, but the stock pos. end wouldn't fit.

Anyways, I don't need one yet...I just can't justify tossing a battery that hasn't failed AT LEAST ONCE. I try and try to kill it, so it strands me and I have an excuse. However, no luck so far. Plus, I've always been impressed with Nissan stock batteries even out here in the desert. Other batteries ALWAYS fail within 2-3yrs, but not OEM Nissans.

BTW, where does the neg. end connect?

Re: Re: Re: Wow!

look closely at the negative. you'll see 2 wires. the thin black one is the stock ground and the thick one was just a 0awg that i piggy backed onto the same spot on the frame.
as soon as it stops raining in NY, i plan on wiring a 0awg from the alternator to the second open spot on the digital terminal. that current 0awg right now goes to the cap in the trunk.

Auuugh...ok.

I was looking for the stock terminator, but you removed it. How did you do that? Just cut it?

snip snip, stripped some rubber off it, and the new terminal is tightened with an allen key.

plus, if you're thinking "well you coudl ahve done the same as with the power terminator, put it on the side"....the answer is no...it's not long enough so on the top post is where it stayed. plus, dont look bad at all.
