Ebay Timing Advance??
Ebay Timing Advance??
will this product do anything for our cars? I've heard about timing advances, but when I searched for it I didn't get any good info on it. Will it make any difference? Thanks guys!

This reminds of one time when my friend bought a so called "chip upgrade" for his Honda Pilot and when he received the package in the mail, all it was was a resistor and a sheet of paper telling him to solder it somewhere on his air sensor. I had to laugh out loud.

Yea, I did read the feedback and it was horrible. I figured it was another scam. How do you increase the timing? and does it have any positive effects?
From what I read, he's not changing timing, he's modifying the "air/fuel ratio"
That's a red flag right there. He's claiming it increases timing, then claims it modifies the A/F ratio.
If he's having people mount this in-between the MAF and ECU, then it might be limiting the MAF signal which would make the air counts lower than they actually are. That fools the ECU into thinking there is less air. The ECU will pulse the injectors shorter and the motor leans out.
That would gives you more power, that is if you don't get any knock (very likely when you go lean without race gas), in which case, this would rob power because the ECU would PULL timing if knock counts go above 5 Hz. Let's not forget that this whole scenario can only happen in open loop, so it does nothing for normal driving @ closed loop. The ECU only uses the MAF signal exclusivley during open loop ops, i.e. WOT
