a sebring with a mac truck pushing behind it, going downhill with NOS still wouldn't keep up ANYWHERE near the maxima....

tell ur friend to put the crack pipe down and slowly step away from it!

Yea I've seen quite a few Sebring drivers on the road who think they are fast. I never drove one but I guess they are peppy. Lol I used to think my 4-cyl Accord was fast as hell, even faster than a v-6 Maxima back in the day when I was in high school (about 5 years ago).

If he is that insistant, there's only one way to deal with him - kick his butt.

My friend has a 98 Chrysler Cirrus LXI, not sure if its the same engine as the Sebring LXI or not, he has that nice big 2.5L V6 (and his 4th tranny in 2 years)

As far as the race, it was pretty hard to tell if he was even moving from the rear view mirror, his car just got smaller and smaller

Needless to say, he won't race me again, even though when I only had my 1.6L 200sx, he was constantly amused by whipping my A$S every day

Now I know why I got my max!!

Ok this just in: I just beat a recent model Sebring with my 4-cyl Accord on the way to the post office today. I was driving fast and he cut into my lane at the last second at a red traffic light so I lined up in the other lane next to him. He revved his engine and at green we took off. We went all the way to 70 or so before I cut into his lane and turned into the post office. My Accord, by the way is a 1996 with I think 135 hp and like 140 torque. The Maxima should have no trouble at all. You should, however, make the best of this situation. Why don't you test out the top gear acceleration if you have a manual or simply ask him to pay for your gas or something.

This is a great thread! How funny are some people. He should just admitt your car is much better in every way!! He must be the type that will feel less of a man if a girl beats him. Thats pretty sad. I love your car, haha, I have the same one! Just in grey lustre. What color leather do you have? Are you going to do any mods? Look at my sig to see what I have done so far. I recomend the AE door sills as a must have. They make the interior look so awsome. All of my mods have been just for looks so far, and they definatly improve the stock look in a classy way w/ out being too ricey. Oh yeah, I got the viper too. (I love my HIDs!!!) I am from NJ and would also not back down from a race if you want one. It'll probably be a tie though. Have fun w/ your awesome car and if you have any questions about my mods or options let me know. The org. Rules!!
