O/d

I have a 2000 auto se. I have noticed that i have to fill up my tank about every 4 day's and i don't even travel that long. I do most of my running on the weekend though. Will i get better gas mileage if have the O/D Off light on or off while im driving??
Thanks

o/d off = no shifts to 4th gear. It wont save you gas if you are crusing at 70mph with od off. you will be running at higher rpm. you can use o/d off on local roads. this will reduce some workload on your tranny.
