Anyone purchase a muffler off of E-Bay?
Thinking of getting a muffler for my 2000 max w/ K&N intake. Looking for more horsepower, want a muffler that's a little deeper than stock but nothing too loud. Any experience w/ E-Bay mufflers.

First off changing just the muffler is going to give you no HP increase since you still have an entire stock piping.
If you get a muffler off ebay, there is no big deal, just need to get brackets welded to it and the pipe from the Bpipe welded to it as well. Most ma and pa shops will do that for no more than $50.

not really. The stock muffler is already doing a great job with the stock exhaust pipes. The problem is the B pipe is bent/squished down to about 45% of it's size to go over a support brace that is about 5 inches down from the pipe.
Anyhow, replacing the hole exhaust is removing that crimp which this with a nice muffler will give you HP gains. If you just want the growl get a muffler for $70 and put it on. If you want power w/ that growl you gotta do the pipes.

I bought my Powertech off ebay. Then I found out I could have saved money going directly to www.ketronsales.com
