I was driving home on a hot and humid day (38 degrees celcius) in my 2K3 Max SE with the auto climate set to 24 degrees. The AC and fan worked fine. As soon I turned it completely off, however, (no lights at all on the display) the fan goes to high and blows non air conditioned air at my feet. It is not on Econo mode or any mode at all according to the display! It won't go off until the ignition is turned off. Now the fan starts every time the car is turned on and won't shut off!

Have any of you had this happen to you? If so, is there some way to stop this you know of? I can't find any TSBs here about this problem.

 

Take it to the dealer, sounds like a glitch of some kind in the A/C control unit.
