HELP - need to locate paint code

Where do I locate the paint code on my 2k SE? And what does the typical "code" look like? (how long is it/how many characters)?

Thanks!

Here are some codes...

code should be on a label under the hood, I think.

I had a 2k SE, the code was on a small metal plate on the underside of the hood.

Yep, my 2k was icelandic pearl and I noticed the same thing. You can shake the paint until your arm falls off, it's still going to be that milky white color. The key is that it is meant to be put on in VERY thin coats. Most people (myself included) do not have the patience to put on so many thin coats of paint to make it look right, they tend to want to fill up the chip with paint on the first or second application. It might take you up to 10 thin coats to get it looking right but the paint does match if you do it that way. Also, IIRC the icelandic pearl 2k had a seperate clear coat that you have to put on after touching up.

Question... You know those light scratch marks you dont notice during normal days, and when you wash your car, you end up swearing your *** off because of the mystery scratch you just noticed?? Yeah well, does the touch up paint you buy for a few bucks at the dealership work?? Many of my friends tell me that it doesnt. Any feedback on what I said??

Well, I guess it depends on color and I can only comment on white since that's the only color Max I've ever had. I briefly had an icelandic pearl 2k and I now have a glacier pearl 2k3. For light scratch marks, I would say no it's not going to work. If you get the paint outside the scratch mark and on top of regular paint it looks like ****. Someone tried to fix the scratches on the 2k's bumper this way before I bought it and it looked terrible. You might be able to do it using a toothpick or a pinhead to keep the paint in a narrow area, but again thin coats is the key.
