Replacing a cracked fog light lens

I apologize in advance if this has been covered, but I didn't find it when searching the forums.

I just bought an 02 SE and the drivers side fog light lens is broken. All I need is the lens - the light works fine. Are the fog lights the same for 2000 through the 03's? I'm going to check some local junk yards for the lens, and I just need to know if I can pull it off an 00 or 01 if that's what they have. Also, can the lens from the passenger side be flipped and installed on the drivers side?

The stealer wants $150 for a replacement - they don't sell just the lens, you have to buy the lens with the housing (either with or without the bulb and socket).

Thanks in advance for the help - this forum has answered a lot of questions before I even had to ask them!

join the club...you gotta buy a whole SET!!! you can't buy just a lens, you'd have to buy 1 fog light but it turns out the set is cheaper than the 1...why??? who knows...

I have both of minbe cracked within 1.5 years and 30K miles. I don't see a reason to pay more money to have the POS lenses crack again. Plus, they accent my rock chips well.

Just use the one you need and sell the other to another org member. That's how me and Nathan got ours by splitting a set. You can't beat $70 for a fog light compared to $180 to dealer quoted me.

That why you spend the extra $15 to buy the 3M fog lamp protection kit that prevent rocks from cracking them again... Mine were split from one side to the other.. They still worked but I didn't want to risk $70 pair of Piaa Super Plasma fog light burning out due to moisture getting in there and ruin them...

Mine was already getting moisture when I replaced it. Only one fog lamp was cracked but I bit the bullet, bought the whole kit ($150), and replaced both at once so they looked brand new. Just to be safe, I bought a pair of brand new PIAA extreme white bulbs to put in because I didn't know if the moisture had caused any damage to the old one on the cracked side, and I didn't wanna have to go in AGAIN for a cracked bulb the second time . Better safe than sorry...
