my front passenger window makes lots of screeching noise when it goes up. I've had tint on the window for like 2 yrs and this problem just occured. I sprayed some WD-40 on the rubber part at the bottom, but all it did was smudge the window and not really help to much. What could i do to stop the noise? its annoying...uggg

Yea you could find it at Pep Boys or any automotive/hardware store.

BTW, you might want to lower the window completely and spray on the side of the window. Not on the actual glass but the track where the window sits between. Not the bottom but the sides...this will definately do the trick.

I had the same problem. There was a TSB for this, and they replaced the window tracks (the rubber on the sides of the windows) and the problem was solved.

TSB, try that seems to be an issue on the AE, as stated by DAWGS AE. Albert your car is coming along quite nicely. I was the white 2k SE at NOPI this past year....

I couldn't find the TSB on the forum. Where's it at? My Driver's side window does this and it's really annoying.

Does the TSB mention a symptom being a slow window?

I'm about to take her in for my passenger side window is slow as hell, but I figure they'll just blame the tint like usual. If I have a TSB then .

Actually i remmeber taking it in for this problem about a year ago. All the dealership did was spray some lubricant on the rubber. It fixed it, but now the noise is louder then before. I made this thread so that i could see if there was an alternate solution. I guess i will just use lubricant..

I don't have a copy of the TSB, but I do know it is TSB # 01-054 issued in AUG-01.

I have had this same problem of screaching and the passenger side window is slow as well. i actually got my tint done by the dealership before i even got the car so if there is a service bulletin then i need to know were to find it but i they will not hassle me about the tint. atleast they better not.
