Traffic Laws Listed - Please Read

Since there have been some traffic ticket threads lately and various (and sometimes humorous, if not completely wrong) interpretations of traffic laws, I thought I would repost this from a thread I recently posted it to:

"This may be of interest to some, but I do not guarantee it is up to date...for instance I know several counties in TX are not posted at 70/75 anymore.

As for the speed up while passing, use the 'find' function for 'passing' and you will find a reference to this.

This also shows clearly which states automatically consider certain speeds to be reckless driving infractions rather than just plain speeding tickets.

http://www.mit.edu/~jfc/laws.html"

Hopefully this will help cut down on 'what-if' debates.

Hey man, that's a great find. This should clarify some situations that people have encountered.

But my friend's sister's dog's groomer met a guy at a bar who said his boss got out of a ticket because told the cop the law actually states you can go over the speed limit when passing and the cop backed down because he realized the guy really knew the law!

kidding...

I wish everyone would read that article before posting their stupid stories and their "how do I get out of this one" questions.
