CD's won't play in my 2k?

After I write onto a cd on my PC they won't play in my factory cd player? The brand I currently use is memorex, does anyone else have this problem

1st off, try different media. I have a 2k3, and haven't found a brand that doesn't work with it yet (Memeorex works fine in mine). Try something with a different color burning surface, like Imation, Sony, or whatever is on sale. The other problem is Adaptec Easy CD creator. It has 2 different modes you can burn in, either "disc at once" or "track at once". Try using a different mode, and see if that helps. I personally use Nero instead, much better burning program.

Edit: I have the stock non-Bose system.

I would also suggest a diff media but we have no problems with CD-R's in the Maxima. I have all types from the spool of 50 for a $1 after rebate to some better brands. I will also say Nero is better (came with my new drive) than EZ-Cdcreator that came with my HP drive.

Good luck.. oh yeah, our car has the Bose head unit.

make sure you click on the finalize disc now so it'll play in all CD players I know Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 platinum has an option where you can write additional songs without finalizing but of course it wont play in all CD players

I have had problems with CDs I've burned before. Try burning the CDs at a slower speed. I have found that if I take the time to burn my CDs at 2X speed, all of my problems go away.

Thanks for the help. I am currently using NERO software to create my cd's so that sounds like I am in the clear. As far as burning speeds is concerned I have tryed it slower and it did nothing for me. I am going to try a different brand of cd's and if it still doesn't work trade it in hehe
