Hello all, new owner of a 2000 GLE =), question about auto gear ****
I just bought a 2000 Maxima GLE with meridian package and traction control with 37K miles for $15,800.
This car is just perfect....great blend of comfort, agility, power, and looks!
I love it!!

My gearshifter for the automatic transmission is a bit worn. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement (preferably to match the wood trim)
Thanks!

get a momo **** off ebay, very high quality and remember that although it is expensive, its a one time thing, buy once and never have to buy again, and your going to be constantly touching it, so might as well feel good in your hand
Welcome to the .Org! That car looks clean (nice color by the way). I know that the 2k2-2k3 autos have a gated shifter that uses a manual style shift ****. Yours is obviously different. I'm not sure about where to get one that has a wood look, but you can probably get an OEM replacement from DAVEB. He is an .ORG member and a Nissan mechanic and is a great resource for getting nissan factory parts. He can get you anything you need. Here is his email address:DAVEB
Try Levoc Shift ***** they have some really nice ***** for Nissans I had one on my Altima. I bought it from nopionline.com There are quite a few 4th gen Maximas that have the shifters so you can check their forum to see more pics
