OK, heres the deal. I have been wrestling with Nissan for 2 months now over my transmission problem (you know, the wont shift into second gear, and when it does it slams into gear problem) I took my car to them on Monday. I had their master tech ride with me so there were no miscommunications about the problem. I sit in the waiting room for 2 hours and they tell me that they need to consult with the Nissan tech line, and wanted to keep it over night. I agreed. Well, I heard nothing for 2 days so I call on Thursday. I get an answer that they did what Nissan told them to do, and they were consulting with them again. Today they call me and say that they can't figure it out, so Nissan told them to start by replacing my MAF and air filter to the tune of $400 (on top of the $140 for diagnostics Im into already). If that doesn't work, they will move onto the TPS another $400 or so. Im sorry, but I don't have an extra $1000 This is all on a "We Guess this is the problem"!! I don't know what to do. Im almost out of patience. I'm going to call Nissan NA after work and have a little chat with them, but other than that, I think Im lost. Any ideas?
Go down there and tell them to give your car back so you can get a second opinion. If another dealer gives you the same load of crap, sell the car and buy a new one. Oh, and ask for the name of the person they were speaking with at Nissan--I bet they won't be able to tell you.
