2k maxima, was stock when i got it... i installed a set of tein s.tech springs and a fstb and got an alignment.

then i started hearing weird noises from the rear end. when i go over small but sharp bumps it makes a crisp clunking sound. after a while it started getting worse.

i just figured my struts were going out because of the higher spring rates and lower ride from the springs. after a while it got worse, i.e. louder and more frequent.

then i started getting some other noises. when i make turns to the right there is a kind of loud clunking noise that sounds like two pieces of metal hitting each other.

so, i bought a set of AGX's from cattman thinking that would fix my problems. i only have the rears installed (didn't have time to do them both yesterday before dark), but the clunking noise when i turn right is still there. i think it may have even gotten louder.

the second problem is the spring mount on the strut is slightly larger than stock and the spring won't seat all the way down on the plate.

has anyone heard of problems like this?

you need a 4th gen spring.
im on 4th gen H&Rs

5th gen ones didnt fit and sat half way on...
and that "popping into place" sh|t, is bullsh|t

Yup, Teins won't work. You need a 4th gen spring.
