Viper 790XV – HID Theft!

Did you have your HID headlights stolen with Viper 790XV(or any other aftermarket car alarm) installed in your car?

Best thing to protect your HID's would be safety screws.
All cars use them to mound air bags and air bag sensors.
Thiefs wouldn't be able to pull them out without damaging the headlight.

look at my hmepage on page 2 u will see why those safetyclips dont matter because the assembly is useless to them anyway they only use the ballast and bulb

2k2whitemaxi, you say in your cardomain you've had your headlight stolen 4 times already?!?! YOU cannot be serious.

Do you still have HIDs on your car or have to switch to the 2k, 2k1 or AE headlights?

What would be cool (but kinda hard to do) would be to set the thieves up. If there were a way that you could easily swap your real lights out with a fake set, and cover the fake set in like epoxy or super glue or something. Then when the thieves go to get them off, they are in for a sticky surprise. It would be even cooler if they got stuck on there and couldn't get away. LOL

i have a 790 viper alarm also, and my hid's can easily be stolen since i have no sensors or proximity sensors. I can kick my tire and the alarm won't even go off POS ahah

something better than the glue would be 500 watt wires everywhere. When they go to grab it they get shocked...real bad. At least they won't steal anymore lights

This really sux. So I guess the best bet is to just get a really good alarm w/ a loud siren, backup battery and sensors. Seems like the more protection you put i.e. hoodlock The more damage that will be done.

I got my HID's stolen three times. NYC sucks for HID owners. Hood locks, alarms, don't matter... the more protection you put on the more they fock op your hood and/or fender. Best thing to do... don't get HID's.. and what the fock is going on with my 6 cd changer.. damn thing never works.... hmmm.. maybe i'll buy a yugo this time... do they still make them?
