Car returned from shop...aerokit goodness...mmmm

Added:

Stillen Aerokit
2001 AE Headlamps
Clear Corner Markers Front/Back
Many chip, dings, and scratches removed

For a little history, my Max was hit by a drunk driver in early June. Fortunately no one was hurt and my Max is now back and better than before...

Gallery of a few Pics:

For those with the Aerokit, does the rear seem to have a bit more gap, or is it me being overly critical?

The kit looks great. If I did a kit, I would have to have them mold it to the body where you can't see the seems. I love the stillen kit on the maxima's.

Thanks guys.

Yeah, thought about having them mold it too, but wanted to see if I could be happy without. I think I can be... if not, back to the shop it goes

As far as the headlamps go, I am really not sure where they came from . I had my body guy order them since his pricing was inline with what I thought was the mean. I can find out if there is interest

AE Headlamps = ~$205 per

2000 Standard Headlamps = ~ $145 per

Bottom line - WAY worth the extra $100. I was gunning for 2k2 HIDs but thought 1300 was a tad pricey. We tried to find them salvaged - no dice.

I am happy to have my car back...that Pontiac Grand Prix sucked so bad...

Nice, I likes, it's sweet, I think you should've added the side profile pic of your car too, even though the front looks menancing.

Yea, I really like the way the AE headlights look.

Once my HIDs get stolen I'm going to get me a pair.

I bought them for 235$ from dave b about a lil over a month ago. I had a shop professionaly drill them for KRAZYD's strobe kits. The housings have 2 1" holes drilled in them. If you dont use the strobe kit, u can just put a peice of tape over the hole and it will be perfect.

I am asking 150$ + Shipping for the lights still in OEM nissan boxes.

This conversation about the 2k2/3 Aero kits has me thinking about exactly how Emax02 did his. Didn't he have the body shop cut and paste the kit onto the car ? . What are the disadvantages to this method?

You know, just in case I ever get a 2k3 - becuase I LOVE what it does to my car

Ethan used a dremel tool and sanded the hell out of the kit to make it fit the 02 bumper. When I get my 03, a future project will be a 2k-2k1 from bumper swap (I like the way ours looks anyway )and the addition of the body kit, I will most probably sell mine painted since I dont feel like going through the hassle of sanding it all over again ect... and just buy another one when the time comes...hell ill even get the 01 tails and no1 will ever know its an 03 inside (except for the hamburger emblems ) Overall it will be a bit costly.

Oh and one last thing, the rear gap is caused by the cheap @ss stillen double sided tape, dont ever use that crap. Next time around Im goin to home depot or Lowes or whatever and get me some industrial double sided tape that doesnt let go. Mine has the same problem but its barly noticable.

Actually Jeff (my body shop guy ) said that they didn't use the included tape, that they used "something better" . The euphoria of seeing my baby again overcame my good sense to ask what exactly they did use.

He did say the back was a PITA and almost seemed to short. Again, this is bothering me less and less. If I really cared about it I would get it molded on, right ? LOL

Thanks for the comments, one and all...I feel more like a "fanatic" then I did in June
