Checked my O2 sensors last night on the 2001

Hi all,

In an effort to resolve my SES PO420 problem, I checked my O2 sensors. As far as I know, they're OK. The precat sensor cycled from .1 to .9V...which is normal. Then there were 2 more that held steady at .285V...which seems lean.

My question is -is that low enough to set the catalyst bank 1 code? I thought that it should be around 4.5V. Also are there 4 sensors or 3 on our Maximas? The 4th connector at the front of the car had 4 wires....and without actually tracing things, I didn't measure it.

Any thoughts?

I had to replace three o2 sensors in two months on my '01 GLE. They are like headlights, if one goes bad you might as well replace them all.

You've got to be kidding. Did you test them?
