Does anyone have this TSB for my 01 max. The window noise is driving me nuts. Squeeks everytime I raise it. Yes, I've tried silicone- dealer did too...works for a few days then bam...it's back. Yes I have tint, but it doesnt squeek on any other window.
Thanks..

I have the same problem. I find that if I clean the rubber lips that seals the top of the door to the window the squeel goes away for a few months. I use the mothers 30 day stuff. The dealer said it was because the window grommet things get excessively dirty when the windows go up and down often.
Thanks...

I had the same problem, and I also have tint on my windows. One of my good freinds works at infiniti and he does this TSB all the time. He did mine about 8 months ago and no squeaks anymore. I will ask him how he does it and I will get back too you guys.
That would be great if you could let me know. Do you hav a personal email address just to make sure we dont disconnect on this. It has been driving me nuts. Thanks. Mine is davidpcs@optonline.net

It's not the rubber (which keeps debris from falling inside the door) that is causing the squeek. The squeek is from worn tracks that the window slides along inside the door. There was a TSB about it and your dealer should be able to fix it.

I have the same thing in my '03, and have tolerated it for about 3 months now. However, I'm getting tired of it and going to take it to the dealer.
I remember someone said that the dealer replaced the window track and the problem was fixed. That's what I'm going to tell the dealership to do.
Putting in silicone will just remedy the situation for the time being, but as the spray wears out, you'll be back at square 1.

I just scheduled an appointment at Clay Nissan (Dedham, MA) on their web site, so waiting on their response...
Anyhow, I'm going to insist that they replace the track rather than put some lube into the existing track. I want this problem fixed permanently, and not be given a temporary solution. Hope they don't **** **** up in my car!

Ok I just talked too my budy who works at Infiniti, and he said too two things. First on the verticle runner that the window slides up and down in, spray SILICONE in the track use alot of it. Second is on the horizontial rubber protecters that stop debri from going into the door, spray CARB cleaner on a rag and wipe the rubber protectors down. Repeat this a couple of times. A couple of things he told is that this will work most of the time but NOT all of the time. He has times were he has had to order new runners for the windows. Hope that helps.
Wow, glad I'm not alone. When I'm rolling my windows down they pop open like they have been vacuum sealed. It scares my passengers everytime. I have to cringe before rolling my drivers side down. It screeches like a horror violin out of a Hitchcock movie.
I first tried cleaning the rubber seals with soap and water, didn't help. I then tried a glass lubricant especially for window seals that _supposedly_ doesn't get sticky. It was great at first, but after a couple of months it was sticky and made things worse. Watch out for liquid based gells. I just recently sanded the rubber down to get the film of lubricant off. My seals are dry and slick, but it still screeches something terrible. I think I'm going to try some graphite powder next. Sometimes my passenger window will not respond at all, then all of the sudden it will pop it's seal, opens and slides down, but it doesn't screech.
