Got My MAX

Sat I picked up a 02 Black SE which I think is loaded besides GPS. very nice car although its my 1st automatic I really don't mind it being auto. The pickup isn't bad although it could use a little bit more and the handling just completly blows well the fact that I'm coming from a 3rd gen RX-7 with Tein coilovers and 18x10 Volk GT-N's doesn't help much So I guess I'm going to get front and rear sway bars and lower it ASAP feels like I'm in a pickup truck right now. From reading this board it seems as if Maxspeeds Springs are a good choice I just want to be able to have 4 adults and not have my wheels rub and it seems like with Maxspeeds I could do that. Some of the Springs I see on here just look way to low. Would I be okay if I just got springs and nothing else for the time being I figure the shocks should be ok since the car has 14K on it.
Also lowering the car should push the rims out a little right?

Thanks,
Dave aka Newbie sorta

Lowering the car will actually make the rims suck in even more.

Maxspeeds are good. They won't rub, but they don't drop that much. But it sounds like that is what you are looking for. You should be fine for a while with stock struts.

Ah the wheel suck in more when you lower it they are already in way to far, I didn't want to get rims right away maybe I'll get some spacers to make them come out near the fender has anyone successful done that.

Spacers will work, but it will cost $100+ or so per set, plus installation is a pain.

I just spent the last 10 minutes seaching for this damn thread:

haha i'm glad the lowering expert Andy is helpin you out Dave, I think Andy has tried every type of configuration to lower a car possible, except maybe chopping 2 coils off of his maxspeeds.
