i have a nice 1/2 inch line that follows the pattern of the deflector and it will not go away. I did this at about 16000 miles. I do not see the need for this deflector. It causes paint problem and water/dirt always builds up in side it(i.e. on a rainy day or something like that)
Mine has been on since before i bought my car last year. Well took it off to see how bad the damage was. Yeah. i put it right back on after I put some wax on it to keep it from getting worse. It leaves a line in the paint where the gasket was, and i tried rubbing compound. The only way to fix it now is to repaint. So if u want the sunroof deflector. Be warned that it will damage ur paint unless u protect it somehow
well I finally took it off today..thanks for the help people...it looks soo much cleaner, especially with the drop now....I still have a leftover line of where the deflector was, but I think a little wax should fix the problem...
