BOSE stereo feature

I have a question about the BOSE stereo in my 02 GLE. The radio has the RDS feature that allows you to tune in stations by call letters, text,etc.
I know only some radio stations transmit RDS data, but how can I read the text on my stereo? Only the station call name is displayed. The manual states to push the PTY button but that only cycles through the different kinds of music.

the RDS is for stations that emit this feature..if they emit it, it will show automatically....

I have yet to see a station as of this date that does this...

they show the name ok, but not any text that might be transmitted.
I was in Boston last week in my friends 2002 Buick park ave that
also has a BOSE with RDS and the station we were listing to was transmitting text. It displayed the current song title, date of song as well as news. Guess I do not get that here in New York.

My Audi shows the call letters sometimes. And my max only displays the station call name.

got a lot of them down here too...even get the Arist name and Song title too..

I get Artist Name, Song title, category and album name all on my Sirius satellite radio in digital quality too with no censorship...

Most stations in my area do tranmit station ids so I do get the station name but thats it.

yeah a couple of stations in the DC/Balto Area have RDS enabled, but i hardly listen to the radio

I have RDS and am in Boston, but all I see are station names. Is it SUPPOSED to show the artist name/song title?

I was just south of boston around Plymouth.
I wish I could remember the station name.

Does anyone know of any websites that list radio stations that transmit
RDS? I had one but lost it.
