I just put a Stillen Y pipe (bought used) on my 2000 Cali-spec SE 5 speed. Previous to this I added an UDP and K&N filter. Before the Y-pipe, I noticed that from 4000-6500 rpm the engine seemed a little choked off from a restricted exhaust unlike my previous Taurus SHO with a Borla exhaust (the SHO engine with the Borla really pulled from 4-7k RPM). Now with the Stillen Y-pipe, from 4000-6500 RPM, the exhaust seems to flow more freely and the engine pulls better/more power. There was a slight increase in interior noise from the exhaust while driving and it has a slightly deeper tone at idle. I am using QuietCoat on the interior floor pan to reduce the noise as I want it to be as quiet as stock from an interior noise perspective. Was it worth it? Yes if you want to get every bit of HP to the wheels and get a good price. At $350+, I am not to sure, but I paid 1/3 of that and did the install my self to keep the costs down.
The addition of the UDP was noticable (butt dyno) as the Y-Pipe. The UDP really lets the engine rev and react more quickly which translated into a little better performance.

My Cali Y-Pipe gave me 13 hp at the wheels, real time...not on a dyno, but with a G-Tech. Dyno gains would prolly be slightly higher. This gain was with an Injen intake (previously installed), so a Y-Pipe by itself would be less I'm guessing.
